Default Advantage of Primary...

Now, I've spouted a bit to people on using a secondary class even if you don't plan to use those skills, it doesn't hurt you any in the long run,a nd infact restricts you if you choose not get the second as you become limited in options. However, we've all seen a problem with gaining monks for our party, it never seems to happen, and so I figured with my exceptional skill in the last BWE as a PvP Monk, I might indulge people and not make myself a target with a W/Mo. And I suddenly had a thought involving quests and skills gained from them. The last one I saw involved getting I believe Mend Ailment and I know Axe Rake, a Monk and a Warrior skill. Was wondering if a single class would have both of these skills being granted for them instead of one from Monk and one from Warrior, I would get both from Monk, since it obviously alters for each class, maybe it happens for single and dual.

Any help would be appreciated, as I plan to go full healing and divine, I've had my bar memorized before, and don't require being any other class really at all, there are a few I might want while I try to get Word of Healing and perhaps a few others, but, if this would help me progress as a pure healer I'd certainly take it to have more spells earlier.

Nope. If you have monk, either primary or secondary, the quest giver offers all the monk skills he or she ever gives for that quest. Going there as just a monk will merely cause them to not offer the non-monk skills, they won't offer you any skills they don't already offer every other monk (either primary or secondary) that comes along.

The kind of skill quest giver you're talking about actually has a fixed list of usually six skills they offer. You see two because you only have two classes, not because they offer two skills. If you only had one class, you'd only see one. In theory, if there was such thing as a tri-classed character, such a character would get three skills from the same quest-giver.

Man, that seems rather annoying, would've been a great way for quick advancement, not like I can't get one later on (people change so I figure they'd allow first selection after ascension).

Wonder why they would even allow a person to continue without selecting it, I mean a few don't know, I've had the advantage of knowing from a long while back, would certainly clear up any confusion and misdirections.

Plus you can't go through the academy now without choosing a second profession i believe.
